Who can benefit from private self-defense training?
Private training is suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience, private sessions can be adapted to your skill level and personal safety concerns.
What can I expect during each training session?
With your first session, we’ll assess your current physical fitness through a series of light warm-up and strength exercises.
We’ll cover foundational fighting elements such as fight stance, basic movement, basic striking techniques, and mindset.
Each session typically covers a range of self-defense techniques, situational awareness, and personal safety strategies.
Expect hands-on training, hitting pads, demonstrations, and lots of reps practicing each technique.
Do I need to prepare for my first session?
No prep work is required. Just show up with a can-do attitude, be ready to put in work, and have some fun!
How long is a session and how often should I train?
Session lengths can vary but typically last between 60 minutes to 70 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on your goals and availability. Many clients start with one or two sessions per week, then adjust as needed.
Do I need any equipment? What should I wear?
Typically, comfortable workout attire is suitable. Avoid wearing dangling jewelry, loose clothing, or anything that can snag or get caught. You will not need any gear with your first session. Your trainer may recommend specific training gear, such as boxing gloves, pads, or protective equipment, as you progress in your training. Rental gear can be provided if necessary.
Private training seems expensive. Is it worth it?
Pricing varies depending on factors like the instructor’s qualifications and availability, location, and session duration.
While private training may be more expensive than group classes, it offers many key advantages, including personalized attention and immediate feedback.
In one-on-one sessions, you’ll receive feedback on your technique in real-time, allowing for much faster progression.
You can learn the finer details of techniques in a short session, which might take weeks or even months in a group class setting. This accelerated learning can make private training a valuable investment for those seeking tailored instruction and rapid skill development.
Is this type of fighting safe? Can I get injured?
Safety in training is a top priority. Communicate any physical limitations or health concerns, and follow safety guidelines and recommendations provided during training. All training can be modified to accommodate your specific needs. However, as with any sport or type of training that involves physical activity, there is always some chance of injury.
Payment
How do I book a session?
To schedule your first training session, register using the sign up form here. We’ll contact you with more details including our private gym location and our private calendar to book your session.
How do I pay for my training session?
For single sessions, your trainer will collect payment after your session is complete.
We accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or cash payment.
You can also pre-pay for multiple sessions in advance to receive a discount. Please contact us if interested in purchasing a multi-session package.
What happens after I book a session?
You should receive a confirmation email shortly after booking a session. Save this email to reschedule if necessary. Your trainer will reach out to you directly by email or text to confirm your session details and address any concerns prior to training.
What is your cancellation policy?
Things happen, we get it. If you have to cancel your scheduled session for any reason, please give us a 48-hour notice.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
Your 1st session is backed by our super-safe 100% risk-free guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with your 1st session, simply don’t pay for it. Since we collect payment after each single training session there’s no money to refund!
